Barn Doors: Choosing Cylindrical or Flat Tracks?

⁉ Why are more and more people choosing cylindrical track over flat track on barn doors?

1. Connection: Cylindrical track is connected by double-ended connectors, which avoids the appearance of the two ends of the track not being on the same level. Whereas flat track is connected through a plum buckle with a set screw inserted in the center, which is usually difficult to keep horizontal, which can lead to the barn door not being smooth enough when moving.  

2. The degree of smoothness: cylindrical track will have less resistance, which will make the door in the process of moving more silky smooth, reduce the situation of jamming. The flat track will be less smooth.  

3. Aesthetics: cylindrical track will occupy a smaller area, looks more beautiful.  

4. Safety: this is the most important point, flat track will use screws to fix the track on the wall, so the load-bearing capacity is often poor, of course, this depends on the quality of hardware accessories you use. Cylindrical track will use a special load-bearing bracket to bear the weight of the wooden door, which will be more secure.
